We are sure you are all busy this week finishing off those last minute holiday details.  Here is what is happening at Dodgen:

Monday, December 17th - 21st - Please do not forget to reclaim your student’s lost and found items any day or time this week.  On Friday, December 21st all articles will be donated to charity.  We are also having a sale on Dodgen Spirit Wear,  so make sure you visit our school store any morning this week between 8:40 - 9:10am to buy those perfect holiday gifts at great prices.

Wednesday, December 19th - The PTSA Environmental Club will be meeting at 8:15am in Mrs. Barkley’s 7th Grade Science class.  Students, teachers and parents are invited to join this club for discussion and to look at ways to make a positive impact on our environment.

Friday, December 21st - S.M.A.R.T Fair comes to Dodgen.  Your students will have a fun-filled day learning lots of new things with a variety of different experiences.  This is followed by the Student Holiday Parties.

Friday, December 21st - This is the end of the 9 week Grading Period.  Report cards will be distributed after the holidays. 

The Dodgen PTSA Executive Board would like to take this opportunity to wish its members and their families a safe holiday season and look forward to a prosperous New Year.

This week it is Orchestra’s turn to showcase their talents.

Monday, December 10th - 6th Grade Orchestra, 7:00pm - Dodgen Theatre

Tuesday, December 11th - 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra, 7:00pm - Dodgen Theatre

Wednesday, December 12th - We have our PTSA Board Meeting at 9:00am at Nancy Van Slooten’s house.  An evite has been sent to all our Committee Chairs, please reply to let us know if you can join us for this “Holiday Gathering.”

Friday, December 14th - This is the deadline for Dateline articles for our late December / January and early February publication.  Please send all articles for this edition to newsletter@dodgenptsa.org

This week sees the Winter Band concerts at Dodgen for all grades.  Check the Band website for information regarding these must see events:

Monday, December 3rd - 8th Grade Band, 7:00pm - Dodgen Theatre    

Tuesday, December 4th - 7th Grade Band, 7:00pm - Dodgen Theatre                   

Thursday, December 6th - 6th Grade Band, 7:00pm - Dodgen Theatre

Thursday, December 6th - Welcomes the second meeting of the Dodgen Book Club in the Media Center at 4:15 - 5:15pm.  Book selection: Song of the Sparrow by Lisa Ann Sandell.  Reading the chosen book is encouraged , but not mandatory.  Please feel free to join the meeting and bring a friend!
